Dual Illumination
Double the lights, double the safety with our StepGuard™ Dual Illumination nosings. Utilizing our proprietary Light Tape® lamps on both the upward and downward-facing angles, you get the best of both worlds with no-glare direct view illumination and a glow on the stair tread.
SG MAX Duo
Designed with the MAX Immersive experience in mind, we added another Light Tape® lamp to the 45-degree track to delineate the step edge and add to the downlight glow. This light is only visible when standing and walking down the stairs, each one turns on for you.

SG MAX Duo Life Safety
Like the Max Duo, we swapped the Light Tape® lamp on the down-light position and went with a High Bright LED for extra brightness on the step. The LEDs create a wash on each step, adding another level of safety.
SG Classic Life Safety
The Classic Life Safety system uses the lighting channel on the bottom of the profile to hold high bright LEDs. The top channel is filled with an anti-slip rubber insert.
SG Classic Duo Life Safety
Our StepGuard™ Classic Duo uses Light Tape® for the up-light and LEDs for the down-light position. The high bright option utilizes LEDs as the downlight. The LED location concentrates the light onto the step. The patron is not able to see the light source, just the illuminated surface.
SG Retro Life Safety

While most movie theater technology has vastly improved with the cinema industry’s transformation over the years, egress and wayfinding lighting for theater and performance venues which includes step lighting and aisle lighting has largely remained the same. Most safety lighting includes bulky metal extrusions with spotty lighting, hot spots, and limited curb appeal. Electroluminescent Lighting Versus LED Lighting for Commercial Theaters and Auditoriums
If you’re considering upgrading your theater or venue lighting to an LED light source, consider StepGuard™ lighting systems as an alternative. StepGuard™ is different from LEDs in a variety of ways, offering benefits that LED lighting does not offer.
There are several downsides to LED lighting versus electroluminescent lighting. While LEDs can have long lifetimes, LED bulbs leave spotty lighting as they rarely fade at the same rate.
